How To Beat Turtle Tenderizer In TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge

One of the hardest bosses we had to face in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge has to be the Turtle Tenderizer, this is both Bebop and Rocksteady in their monstrous vehicle throwing and shooting at things while you skate around the screen.

It’s difficult, trust me, especially if you’re on harder difficulties.

So, we here at Retro Dodo have created you a guide on how to beat turtle tenderizer In TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge.

Let’s hop into it!

1. Watch Out For Rocksteady’s Bullets

The first batch of attacks that will come at you are from Rocksteady, he will hang out the window and shoot bullets at you while the vehicle goes up or down the screen.

Meaning you can potentially dodge some bullets, but the last couple you will have to jump over. When you jump, try and jump towards the vehicle because once the shooting is finished, you have a small amount of time to attack the back of the vehicle to deal damage.

Be quick though as you’ll soon be bombarded with the next set of attacks.

2. Dodge Rocksteady’s Grenades

When you get too close it’s likely Rocksteady will throw grenades at you, but it’s also a part of the attacks he does in routine throughout the battle, they will explode upon impact so make sure to dodge them.

The best way to dodge them is to watch him as he throws one out of the window, it will land on the exact space you were the moment he throws it, so simply moving out the way will stop you from being hit.

I know it’s easier said than done but just keep an eye on Rocksteady and not the grenade. After his third or fourth throw he will go back into the the vehicle this is your time to attack, so we recommend dodging the grenades and inching closer when you do so.

3. The Vehicle Reverses

Typically after the gun and grenade sequence the vehicle will reverse and move around the screen, so the best way to dodge this is by… well getting out of the way.

First it will move back, then forward diagonally and then back, so try moving up and down the screen away from it.

When this ends this is another opportunity to apply some damage before the sequence replays again.

4. Bebop’s Swing

When you do go to attack the vehicle only hit it a maximum of three times within 3 seconds, anything more than this and it’s very likely that you will get hit by Bepob’s ranged attack.

He will lean out of the window and launch his weapon at you. The only way to dodge this is by moving backwards, it’s incredibly hard to dodge via jumping.

Just remember, a maximum of three hits every time you see an opening or you’ll be faced with the wrath of Bebop.

5. Use Your Super Attacks

It’s likely that you will only get one chance to use your super attack, use this when you’re in trouble as you don’t take damage for a few seconds during it.

The best time to do this is when you’re up close and personal and about to die.
